Fanny Davies was born in Guernsey, England on June 27, 1861. Davies was a student at the Leipzig Conservatory under Reinecke and Paul. She also studied under Clara Schumann at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt. Davies made her London debut in 1885 and went on to tour succesfully throughout Europe. She also recorded for Columbia and did some teaching. Davies died in London on September 1, 1934.
