New York Military Band Program (1919)
A program from a concert given by the New York Military Band, led by Edwin Franko Goldman. The ensemble was formed in 1911 and changed its name to The Goldman Band in 1920. The ensemble's summer concert series drew thousands of spectators. Unlike bands of the previous generation which toured extensively throughout the country, Goldman's band achieved national prominence with radio broadcasts of their concerts.
