John Philip Sousa Band Program (1914)

A program from a concert given by Sousa and His Band, Willow Grove Park, 3 September 1914. This particular program features autographs from many of the band members, including the initials of John Philip Sousa (in his hand) at the very top right corner of the program. The band played four sets throughout the day, concluding each series of orchestral transcriptions with a Sousa march. Works by Sousa were "The National Fencibles," "Mother Hubbard," "The Man Behind the Gun," and "The Invincible Eagle."
