How to REGISTER to borrow scores
To borrow scores from the Contemporary Music Project Score Library at the University of Maryland, you must hold a current USM library card, or register with Special Collections in Performing Arts at the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library.
If you do not have a USM library card, you may register by writing a letter on institutional letterhead paper requesting CMP Archives Score borrowing privileges for your organization. Include the names and contact information, including e-mail addresses, of two people who will be responsible for the scores we lend. (You may be one of those people.)
Copy this statement into your letter:
We agree to the lending terms of the CMP Archives Score Library found at this Website: http://www.lib.umd.edu/PAL/SCPA/MENC/CMP/borrow.html on ___________ (date). We understand that all CMP Archives Scores are protected by international copyright and that copying CMP Archives Scores by any means is unlawful and strictly forbidden.
Your letter must be signed by both of the people who agree to be responsible for scores.
