Theatre Fundamentals: How to Locate Items on Reserves
The Reserves collection includes books and electronic readings (E-reserves) requested by professors as required reading for their students. So that each student has an equal opportunity to use these materials.
When your professor tells you items are on Reserves, you will need to check the catalog for the call number or follow the "internet link" for E-Reserves.
Please refer to the Student Information: General Policies for Course Reserves, for detailed information on accessing items on course reserves.

Passwords and Authentication for E-reserves
Currently there are two types of authentication for E-reserves.
The first type is passwords. Passwords are attached to materials that Reserves scans and mounts to the Web. Passwords will be supplied to the Professor for the class. The Professor will then distribute the password to the class. Passwords are not given out at the Reserves desk.
The second type of authentication will be encountered when attempting to access some E-reserves from off campus. These are materials that Reserves has directly linked to that are full-text online. If you are attempting to access materials from a private Internet Service Provider, you will be directed to the Research Port login. You will be asked to enter your 14 digit ID number (on the back of your ID card) and your last name. This will allow you to then read the materials.
