WOR / Wallenstein Collection

The WOR / Wallenstein Collection consists of 28,000 orchestral scores and parts from the old WOR Radio Station orchestra in New York City (conducted by Alfred Wallenstein). The collection contains both classical works as well as popular orchestral arrangements and is representative of the standard orchestral repertory of the 1930s and 1940s.

Due to significant staff vacancies at PAL, borrowing and perusing materials from this collection is currently not possible. Resuming in the fall of 2005, the collection may be used by orchestras in the greater Washington, D.C. area. (Materials from the collection are not mailed out.)
