| ||
COMPENSATORY TIME FOR EXEMPT STAFFExempt staff are expected, as part of the conditions of their employment, to work as required by the position. It is recognized that, at times, job related circumstances may require working more than the minimum required 40 hours per week. When deemed appropriate, compensatory leave may be granted by the Dean of Libraries or his/her designees for these additional hours. Compensatory leave practice is driven by the work demands and expectations of the Library and not the personal needs of the employee. Use of compensatory leave is secondary to the needs of the unit and subject to supervisor approval. The Dean of Libraries has extended authorization to approve the earning and use of compensatory leave to supervisors under the following circumstances and conditions:
In accord with University policy, cumulated compensatory time cannot exceed 30 days and must be used within one year of the date earned. Upon separation from University service, exempt staff employees will be remunerated for no more than 2 days of compensatory time earned and unused during the six months preceding the date of termination. ADMINISTRATIVE MEMO # 29Effective effective December 1, 1997supersedes none Suggested revisions to any Administrative Memo should be addressed to the Director for Planning & Administrative Services. |
