TITLE: Coordinator (Development Coordinator) #102821
CATEGORY: Exempt Staff, Full-Time Appointment
LOCATION: Office for External Relations, McKeldin Library
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities: The Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Stewardship for the Libraries' Development Program.
Coordinates a Systematic Program of Stewardship, which includes:
Gift Acknowledgement (20%)
Monitors gifts received
Coordinates process for prompt and personal acknowledgements
Provides tributes to donors
Maintains donor/prospect files
Cultivation & Stewardship Events (40%)
Schedules and coordinates logistics (location, invitations, catering, etc.)
Structures event appropriately (program of key messages and speakers)
Coordinates pre- and post- event cultivation
Development Database Management (40%)
Maintains accuracy and relevancy of donor database
Prepares materials or reports for tracking meetings and donor/prospect visit
Tracks Fiscal Year Goals
Tracks PEG process
Tracks status of proposals
Coordinates research requests to University Relations
Maintains accurate and up-to-date mailing lists for events and publications.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Professional experience in development or related field. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. High aptitude with word processing, spreadsheets, and database software. Experience working within a team environment. Preferred: Professional experience with stewardship activities within a development program. Experience managing special events. Preferred: Specific software experience to include: MS Office, BSR/Advance, and Corporate Time. Must be willing to work during special events, some of which occur during evenings and weekends.
