Staff/Faculty Positions
The University of Maryland is currently under a hiring freeze, any vacancies listed have been exempted from the University of Maryland hiring freeze.
The libraries are often looking for student workers. If you are a UM student interested in working for the Libraries, follow these steps:
- Download and fill out an application.
- Submit your application in person to the Human Resources Office in McKeldin Library room 6115.
- Wait to see if any library supervisors are interested in your application. If so, they will contact you directly.
Graduate Assistantships
The libraries recruit to fill graduate assistantships during the spring and summer months prior to the academic school year. Occasionally there are jobs that become available in January (prior to the Spring Semester). To apply for a graduate assistantship:
- Submit your resume to the Human Resources Office in McKeldin Library room 6115.
- Wait to see if any library supervisors are interested in your resume. If so, they will contact you directly.
