CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR RECIPIENTS!!!
The following is an account of the initiatives and contributions of our 4 winners whose efforts and commitment reflect true leadership.
In appreciation of your dedication to the Electronic Text and Imaging Center and Digital Library Initiatives and to the field of information science. You have sought training in and mastered new technologies to increase our efficiency in the production of digital library objects. You have gracefully accommodated our move to a new division, director, unit, and goals. In addition, you were a founding member of the EAD Working Group and a GA representative to the Library Faculty Assembly.
In appreciation of your skill, perseverance, and excellent work with the Music/AV Cataloging Production Team. You quickly and efficiently cataloged a huge backload of scores and then aided in the migration to LIMS3. You figured out on your own how to create holdings in the MARC21 Holdings Format, applied this knowledge to timely processing of material supporting the new Masters in Jazz Studies program, and provided examples for Technical Services cataloging documentation.
In appreciation of your three years of excellent work as a student assistant in the Art Library. From your experience with weeding and shelving you developed and implemented a plan to extend stack ranges on the mezzanine floor, which resulted in added shelf space that can accommodate several years of growth. We are indebted to you for seeing this important opportunity for space in a crowded branch.
In appreciation of your exceptional work in the Bindery-End Processing Unit of the Technical Services Division. You are a team player with impeccable job ethics. You quickly identify work priorities and perform tasks far beyond expectations. You are versatile, dependable, efficient and have been a wonderful support for new student assistants.
