WINNERS OF THE OUTSTANDING GRADUATE ASSISTANT AWARDS 2003

 

On Friday, May 9, at the Annual Awards Ceremony, Dean Lowry and the Awards Committee took the opportunity to present certificates to four graduate assistants. Each recipient will receive a cash gift of $200.00.

The following is an account of the initiatives and contributions of our 4 winners whose efforts and commitment reflect true leadership.

 

Tina Bobe

In appreciation of your excellent public service and your dedication and commitment to the Art and Architecture Libraries. For the past two years, your high level of professionalism  and enthusiasm have been invaluable assets in providing reference service, creating guides and assisting with displays, exhibits and other special projects. You have greatly  enhanced the quality of services in both the Art and Architecture Libraries.

 

Sheri Massey

In appreciation of your work with the Libraries learning and education program. You helped develop the organizational structure for the Staff Learning LAN that serves as the backbone for all Learning Curriculum materials, managed the registration process for LC modules, developed a website for the Learning Organization  and designed a plan for a user-friendly Staff Learning Lab. Your creativity, enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and hard work have been a tremendous asset to the Libraries.

 

Benjamin Levy

In appreciation of the initiative and responsibility you have shown in your work with the Special Collections in Performing Arts. Your fulfillment of special requests from the library’s collections of music scores has involved communicating with the donor organizations, establishing and following procedures, helping to maintain the collections, and reporting to the executive director of the American Composers Alliance. You have also participated  in the library’s special events with exceptional tact and good cheer. Your performance has surpassed our highest expectations.

 

Colleen Page

In appreciation of your work as an indispensable member of the Bindery-End Processing Team of the Technical Services Division. With your excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to think ahead, you have helped ease the transition to a new space and a new system and were instrumental in the LARS Database clean-up project. You are truly a team player, always considering what is best for the unit as a whole.
