In recognition of the outstanding leadership role you took to create ArchivesUM. The searchable online portal has not only improved workflow in Archives and Manuscripts but also made the University of Maryland archival collections more visible to the public and to scholars.

In appreciation of your exceptional productivity and dedication to accuracy with the 400+ serials project and the creation of a reliable inventory of scores in the American Bandmasters Association Research Center (4600+ titles) in the Special Collections in Performing Arts (SPCA) Collections Room. Your maturity and dependability to shoulder heavier than usual work responsibilities by taking initiative and displaying a caring attitude during crises have been of great benefit to the staff and patrons of the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library.

In appreciation of your energetic and dedicated four years service, including three years as Chair, of the Appointment, Promotion and Permanent Status Committee of the Library Faculty Assembly. Under your leadership, the committee made major strides in clarifying complex policies and procedures for colleagues seeking professional advancement. You worked tirelessly behind the scenes with your committee members and in consultation with campus administrators and the University Senate to create a process that met campus standards while guiding a large group of library faculty toward promotion and permanent status. This commitment to your colleagues has contributed to a climate of excellence in the Libraries.

In appreciation of your exemplary work as a student assistant at the SIRS desk in McKeldin. You are diligent, engaged, helpful and always willing and cheerful in your work. Not only do the staff depend on you for technical assistance, but you provided a peer training session on printing and technical issues that was very helpful--and an unusual contribution from a student assistant. Your maturity, dependability and leadership as a student employee have been of great benefit to both staff and patrons at the McKeldin SIRS desk.

In appreciation of your exemplary service as the Geographic Information Systems Graduate Assistant in Government Documents and Maps. You make important contributions to the use of GIS in the Libraries by teaching workshops, managing GIS resources, benchmarking GIS services at other universities, and investigating new sources of data and software, as well as by participating in outreach and promotion of GIS. Through your willingness to take on additional responsibilities, which include participating in special projects, providing reference assistance and staff training, and taking initiative in enhancing your own knowledge and skills and ensuring customer satisfaction, you demonstrate the dedication and enthusiasm that makes you an asset to the Government Documents and Maps staff and the Libraries as a whole.
