PRESS RELEASE
April 15, 2005 Tanner Wray named Director of Public Services at UM Libraries Tanner Wray is the new director of Public Services for the University of Maryland Libraries, College Park. Wray joined the Libraries in 2004 as head of Access Services. Before moving to Maryland he headed Access Services for the Memorial Library at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior positions were at the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library at The George Washington University and the National Agricultural Library. Tanner Wray received his library science degree from Syracuse University and his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, associated with the Medical Library Association. Wray is active in the American Library Association as well, especially the new STARS (Sharing and Transforming Access to Services) section in the Reference and User Services Association. |
