- Stay calm and do not panic.
- Stay indoors and take cover under a heavy desk,
table or stand inside a doorway away from windows.
- After an emergency, floor and unit marshals
should assist in evacuating the library if necessary for the safety
of staff and patrons.
- If someone has been injured, contact the UMPD at 911. If the telephone is not
working, use your best judgment to ensure your safety and that of the patrons. Do not put
yourself in undue risk.
- If there is damage to the building or in case of
flooding, call Work Control (5-2222) if
possible. In case of damage
to library materials, notify the Salvage
Squad leaders.
