Humanities Team
Table of Contents
Mission
The Humanities Team's mission is to contribute to the goals and
mission of the Libraries and, specifically, to the research, teaching, and learning activities of the College of Arts and Humanities, through reference services, library instruction,
and collection management.
Members of the Humanities Team provide collection management, reference and research, and library instruction services to the academic departments in the College of Arts and Humanities.
The Humanities Team office is Room 5101D of
McKeldin Library.

Humanities Team members are engaged in the following core services:
- Reference and Research Services
- Research Consultation
Faculty, students and staff can make appointments with team members for research
consultation. Consultation is provided for dissertation, thesis, and general
graduate and undergraduate research. Contact your subject-specialist librarian to make a research
consultation appointment. There are subject specialists in the Libraries who do not serve on Teams.

- Collection Management
Team members select print and electronic scholarly information to support the teaching and research missions of the University of Maryland.

- Library Instruction
Team members provide customized library instruction for undergraduate and graduate coursework. Library instruction is also provided for specialized faculty and graduate student seminars.
