Maryland-Pennsylvania Border Disputes

The following guide describes maps, manuscripts, and related printed documents useful for the study of how Maryland’s boundaries were established. While the guide attempts to be exhaustive, it has been limited to resources available for use at the University of Maryland. The many original public records and maps at the Maryland State Archives should also be consulted as part of any serious study of Maryland’s boundaries.
