Limited edition of 600 copies printed from Monotype Bembo; 300 copies printed on Amalfi, a hand-made Italian paper, and the other 300 numbered copies were printed on Warren’s Oldstyle paper. Limited edition of 500 copies printed from Cancellersca Bastarda on Fabriano and Japanese papers. 10 copies contain additional set of drawings on Japanese Vellum signed by the artist. A wood engraved portrait of Joseph Conrad by Leonard Baskin. An edition of 1,100 copies printed from Monotype Van Dijck type on Fabriano paper. Contents include: Joseph Conrad “The Manuscripts: The Preface to the N of the “N,” “To My Readers in America,” and “The “Hythe” Preface.” Copies numbered I to C have an additional impression of the portrait printed on Shizuoka Vellum and signed by the artist. Printed by the Gehenna Press in Northhampton. The facsimiles were printed from line engravings on Arches and on Shizuoka Vellum to simulate the papers used by Mosher. The illustrations were reproduced by The Meriden Gravure Company. UMCP has copy numbered 435, which is in a slipcase. Special Collections Folio Z232 .M886 H3.

Copies numbered 1-25 are printed on Arnold Vellum and contain a woodcut portrait of Hermann Zapf, signed and numbered by the artist. Copies numbered 26-175 comprise the regular edition. All copies are signed by Leonard Baskin. Bound in green paste-paper covered boards; grey cloth hinges; red leather label, stamped in gold, on spine. UMCP has copy numbered 54. Copperplated for etchings by Michael Kuch. Bound by Claudia Cohen of Esthampton, MA. Copies numbered 1-10 comprise the deluxe edition and contain three water-color drawings by Leonard Baskin, a second suite of the etchings (the ones originally printed in black are hand-touched in color by Baskin), one copperplate and a leaf of Ted Hughes’ manuscript.
