Wet BooksIf a book is wet, it should be sent to the Preservation Department immediately for drying. If a book dries on its own, it may begin to grow mold or the pages may warp and stick together, like this book. ![]() If it is after regular business hours and the Preservation Department is closed, follow the procedures outlined in the document Preservation Guidelines for Handling Wet and Moldy Books.
