Conservation Team

Collections Conservation

The Conservation Team assesses, repairs, and prevent damages to all the collections of the University of Maryland Libraries. The Team helps in ensuring that library materials survive in order to be used in a useful state for research. Current high conservation standards are upheld in all our lab practices. Treatments are carried out in the most aesthetically pleasing, efficient, and economical way that maintains the original integrity of the materials and the collection.
