Preservation Committee Meeting |
Present: Yvonne Carignan, Diane Harvey, Doug McElrath, Rebecca Nwude, Courtney Shaw, Kit
Miller (guest).
1. Preservation Priorities.
We received further direction from Marietta Plank on refining our list of preservation projects:
We need to include an estimate of the number of pieces in each project as well as a per-unit cost.
Each committee member is updating their piece of the project list.
Courtney volunteered to check with Lily Wee about extracting circulation figures from CARL so
that we will have use statistics about different pieces of the collections.
Kit Miller reported on his survey model. The committee is interested in looking at models used at
other universities. Yvonne and Kit will pursue this.
2. Next meeting: Friday, April 25, 1997, at 2 p.m. in the Technical Services Division Meeting Room.
Maxine Sitts, Project Director at the Commission on Preservation & Access, will be speaking to
us about Commission activities and on preservation issues.
