Preservation Committee Meeting Minutes

March 16, 2004

Outcomes

1. Status Report on Preservation Plan: Preservation Production Group began to work on the plan and gathered some data. Next step is an environmental scan with input from LEC.
2. Report on Digital Libraries Initiative: Courtney provided a description of the Initiative to date. Relationship of the Digital Initiative to Preservation was discussed. It was suggested that Preservation Prioritization form should include some questions in regards to digitization.
3. Status review of last year's prioritization priorities: Report and information sharing.
4. Meeting schedule: Several dates were suggested which will be finalized over e-mail. (April 27, 9:30-11 was the selected date for the next meeting)

   • Tour of digital libraries
   • Preservation Prioritization form review
   • Work out assignments for this year's prioritization process.
