Federal Documents Coordinating Team Charge


The Federal Documents Coordinating Team (FD CT) coordinates the technical processing of Government Documents & Maps collections distributed via the Federal Depository Library Program, "Needs & Offers", Direct Mail and the Libraries' paid subscription to the Library of Congress' Documents Expediting Program (Doc Ex). Refines, develops and documents policies and procedures to maintain consistency with GPO guidelines and library policy. Articulates processing workflow, roles and responsibilities. Coordinates as needed with other Technical Services teams, particularly the Cataloging Policies Coordinating Team . Provides oversight and coordination of training in government document workflow, policies and practices for TSD staff, PSD staff and others. Communicates and collaborates with related teams and groups throughout the UM Libraries and USMAI on policies and procedures for government documents. Serves as a system-wide resource and consultant in relation to FDLP records in USMAI and the ILS.
