GENRE AND SUBJECT HEADINGS USED FOR FEATURE FILMS & TELEVISION PROGRAMS IN COLLEGE PARK’S CATALOG

All dramatic/fictional narrative films have one of two subject headings:

Feature films (if 40 minutes or longer).
Short films (shorter than 40 minutes).

[Call number will be PN1997.A2-Z, for films produced in 2000 of earlier, or PN1997.2.A2-Z for films produced 2001-. For collections of feature or short films the call number will be PN1997.A1A-Z.]

All televised dramatic/fictional narrative works will have at least of these:

Made-for-TV movies. [Call numbers will be PN1992.8.F5A-Z]
Television mini-series. [Call numbers will be PN1992.8.F5A-Z]
Television plays. [Gets same class number as the text of the play if Television plays is the first 655]
Television programs. [Call number will be PN1992.77.[cutter for TV series name]A-Z if Television programs is the first 655.]
Television musicals. [Not usually used as first 655, so it gets one of the aforementioned call numbers]
Television specials [Not usually used as first 655, so it gets one of the aforementioned call numbers]
