If invited to campus, know that we can accommodate no more than 30 students per visit. UES will consider only one (1) request per course, per academic year (i.e. September-June). UES considers a school's I.B. Program one course, no matter how many sections per school.

PURPOSE OF YOUR VISIT:

If you are new to this Policy, please review our expectations.

Articulate the purpose of your visit. We are not able to arrange a visit solely to offer your students the opportunity to experience a large academic library. Why do your students need to come to McKeldin Library? What specific resources at McKeldin Library are not available through the school, public or community college library?

Indicate the measures you have taken at your library media center to prepare your students before requesting a visit to McKeldin Library. List the databases students have used. Tell us what was covered in your library research session:

Have you introduced students to resources available at their local public library? If yes, tell us which library(ies) you used. Tell us which resources you covered. If no, explain why not. We expect that you will introduce your students to public library resources before requesting a visit to McKeldin Library.
