VICTORWeb CLASSES
An introduction to using VICTORWeb and an online periodical database. This 60 minute class introduces how to find books, nonprint and other materials in VICTORWeb, the Web-based catalog of the University of Maryland Libraries, and how to find journal articles in the periodical database Academic Search Fulltext Elite. Hands-on practice time and one-on-one instruction will be provided. Limited to 20 participants.
WHEN IS YOUR PAPER DUE? and BASICS & BEYOND CLASSES
A class for the more advanced undergraduate researcher. This 60 minute class is for students who are getting ready to research and write a substantial paper, report or proposal. This class emphasizes selecting and searching databases to find periodical articles and other materials. Hands-on practice time and one-on-one instruction will be provided. Limited to 30 participants. We suggest you bring research topics with you.
GIS USING ARCVIEW CLASSES
Introduction to ArcView is a two hour workshop that teaches the basic operations of the popular ArcView GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software. Analysis with ArcView workshop is a two hour advanced workshop that explores the more complex query and analytical functions of ArcView. Registration is required for both workshops.
