You need to open a Terrapin Express (TE) Account before you can use your I.D. card to print or copy!
Terrapin Express is a pre-paid debit account attached to your University ID card.
Open a TE Account:
ONLINE
- Start at www.testudo.umd.edu
- Click Financials then Terrapin Express Inquiry
- Click View Terrapin Express
- Log in with your Directory ID and password
- Use a credit card to open a new account or to add a minimum of $20 to your balance.
- You must click Finish to activate your account.
IN PERSON:
- Bring your student I.D. and a minimum of $1.00 to:

Purchase a Photocopy Card

UM Libraries' Photocopy Cards are intended for visitors to the Libraries, and are available for purchase for $1.00 at Copy Card ATM Machines at all Libraries on campus.
Follow the directions on the machine to buy a card.
- After purchase the balance is 20 cents. Add more money to the card right away.
Need smaller bills?
- Break large bills at the McKeldin Copy Shop, Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.
- OR Use the Bill-to-Bill Exchanger machine, located next to McKeldin Library's Copy Card ATM machines (by the Circulation Desk on the first floor).
