ARTS AND HUMANITIES: SPOTLIGHT ON THE 19th CENTURY

We will explore the art, history, and literature of the 19th century through the Internet.

GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS: SPOTLIGHT ON CURRENT POLITICS

LIFE SCIENCES: SPOTLIGHT ON BIOTECHNOLOGY

Genetic manipulation on humans, plants, and animals is the topic of the future for life scientists. We will search the WWW to illustrate how to access biotechnology informational sites (e.g. GenBank), and sites on ethical issues.

Using Web searching techniques both simple and complex, we will visit Internet sites that demonstrate interdisciplinary research on women and social class issues.
