Academic Integrity Committee (April 2005- )
The Academic Integrity Committee coordinates the Libraries' informational and instructional response to the issues of plagiarism and academic integrity. The Committee works to foster a leadership role for the Libraries in collecting and disseminating information about the issues and about campus activities concerning plagiarism and academic integrity.

Information Literacy Team (June 2001- )
The University of Maryland Libraries’ information literacy program provides members of the University and its community with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively identify, find, evaluate and use information for academic excellence and to support lifelong learning.

Guides Group (1996- )
The Guides Group develops and oversees standardized procedures for creating and maintaining general and subject-specific Guides to Information Resources.

Committee on Library User Education (CLUE) (November 1998-May 2001)
The charge of the Committee on Library User Education was to review problems and issues, work on solutions, and recommend policies relating to the Libraries' instructional programs; contribute to the mission of the Libraries' user education program; and communicate user education issues to appropriate library staff. CLUE has been superceded by the Information Literacy Team.

TILT Team (Spring 2001)
The goal of this team was to create UM's version of the Terraping Information Literacy Tutorail (TILT). This interactive online tutorial was designed to prepare students enrolled in ENGL 101: Introduction to Writing with basic information literacy skills before their scheduled Library Day session.
