Whether it’s from a book or journal available in print on the UMD Libraries' shelves or a request we send out to be filled by another library, Interlibrary Loan Services can deliver digital copies of journal articles, book chapters, ebooks and more to you from your Interlibrary Loan account.

Special Collections 

Request copies of archival and special collections material using your Special Collections Account. We can provide research copies or high quality duplication services for publication upon request.

Accessible Copies

The Libraries’ Accessible Library Text Retrieval (ALTR) service provides text-searchable PDFs of eligible library books to UMD users with visual impairments and other print disabilities.

Digital Copies for Courses

Instructors: Need to share a digital copy with students in your class? Please submit your request through the Libraries' electronic and streaming reserves services.  

 

Not affiliated with UMD?

Our general collections are available to request via interlibrary loan (ILL). We don’t deliver to unaffiliated individuals, but your library can request scans from us on your behalf. Learn more.
