Archives of the Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Workers International Union
Abstract
In 1886 the National Union of Journeyman Bakers of North America was founded, which united in 1902 with the confectioners, and merged in 1978 with the Tobacco Workers International Union to form the Bakery, Confectionery, and Tobacco Workers International Union. The union's archives document operations at the local and national levels and include correspondence, financial records, publications, legal files, contract negotiations and agreements, organizers reports, photographs, and memorabilia.
