The Caroline Backlund Professional Development Travel Award
The first annual The Caroline Backlund Professional Development Travel Award was granted in Spring 2002 to assist a chapter member in attending the ARLIS/NA Annual National Conference. The award is named in honor of Caroline Backlund, a longtime ARLIS/NA and local Chapter member who is now retired from a distinguished and influential career in art librarianship.

Contributions to The Caroline Backlund Professional Development Travel Award and The Student Travel Award are solicited annually, along with membership renewal or application. Thanks to generous donations, the fund is definitely healthy; however, it will need to be replenished each year in order to provide an annual grant. Please consider making a contribution in any amount. Donation sum may be included on the same bank draft as membership dues - please indicate the amount on the member information form.
