This postcard from the 1915 Panama California Exposition in San Diego depicts a panoramic view of the fair from Balboa Park.
Prominent in this view are the Puente Cabrillo (right) and the dome and tower of the California Building (center). The Puente Cabrillo, a bridge designed and constructed by Frank P. Allen, Jr., spanned 450 feet at a height of 110 feet across Cabrillo Canyon and provided the west entrance to the fair. The California Building was designed by Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue, the consulting and supervising architect for this exposition.
