White House Petition on Open Access

May 21st, 2012 by Nedelina Tchangalova

The NIH Public Access Policy, adopted in 2008,  requires all NIH-funded research to be deposited in PubMed Central within 12 months of date of publication.  A petition has been posted to the White House’s “We the People” website calling for the Obama Administration to expand the policy to include all federal agencies that fund research.  If the petition collects 25,000 signatures within 30 days, it will be reviewed by White House staff and considered for action.  To help reach this number, please sign the petition today:

Institutional Profile (Beta) in ACM Digital Library

March 20th, 2012 by Nevenka Zdravkovska

ACM Digtial Library is beta testing “institutional profile.” It’s a novel view of an organization’s publishing record within the ACM umbrella. Check out University of Maryland’s profile:

Be sure to check all the tabs: Award Winners, Authors, Collaborative Institutions, Publication Archive, etc. Very cool!
