Eiko and Koma installation

December 13th, 2011 by Mierka

Hi there MSPAL fans!

We have a special exhibit on display brought to us by visiting artists Eiko and Koma. Eiko and Koma are a performance art team that draws influence from the Japanese art of Butoh, a movement form that is characterized by slow controlled motion and which touches on the taboo and the unearthly.

The installation includes set pieces and costumes from a bunch of Eiko and Koma performances as well as photo and video clip installations so you can see some of their work. The installation is in the corridor between MSPAL and CSPAC.
Eiko and Koma will perform with the Kronos Quartet at CSPAC’s Kogod Theatre February 22nd and 23rd (Wednesday and Thursday) from 5pm to 9pm. Entrance is free and open to the public.

Please not that some of Eiko and Koma’s work contains nudity. and CSPAC has listed that this performance is for mature audiences only.

Come check out the exhibit!
