As part of the TEI@20, the twentieth anniversary members meeting and conference for the Text Encoding Initiative, Sean Daugherty presented a poster on the development and testing of the Versioning Machine version 3.1. This poster, presented earlier in the year by Susan Schreibman and Ann Hanlon, discussed the results and implications of a user study for the Versioning Machine. The study was designed to collect data on navigability and ease of use, as well as the utility of the Versioning Machine – and by extension, tools for the digital humanities in general – for the scholars and practitioners to whom it is directed. The survey included over 30 detailed responses collected via an online survey, as well as five in-person interviews in April and May 2007.
