November 18th, 2015
Come join the GIS and Geospatial Services Center and the Department of Geographical Sciences for an American Red Cross Mapathon on Wednesday, November 18 to celebrate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day. We will be doing our part to help the American Red Cross with their Missing Maps project, a joint effort between the American Red Cross, British Red Cross, the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, and Doctors Without Borders. Please join us to map roads and buildings in some of the most vulnerable places around the world (e.g., Ecuador, Kenya, Myanmar, and South Africa). No experience or prior GIS background is needed! We will have computers for you to use at both locations. Please see the registration page for more information.
