Landscan Population Dataset is Here!
We have just acquired (thanks to faculty and Gemstone team requests) the
Landscan Global Population Dataset. This dataset shows "ambient" population for
the whole world - this means it shows the geographical distribution of
population at one-kilometer resolution over an average 24-hour period. This
makes richer analysis possible since you can see how the population is scattered
during the day.
There are three ways to access the Landscan dataset.
