Collections Subcommittee - November Report

Tasks completed (since last report, 10/26/05):

- Transfer of CLIS Media to Nonprint. Nonprint has yet to fully evaluate the collection.
- Transfer of the Juvenile Collection to McK.
- Faculty review of pre-1985 low-circ titles for potential transfer to MOSS.
- Transfer of CLIS mform to McK. Fiche has been integrated, film will be integrated when shifting is completed.
- Transfer of Something About the Author and Children's Literature Review to McK Ref. Both titles are on the shelves in McKeldin Reference.

Tasks in process:
- Evaluation and transfer of CLIS Reference.
- Duplicate serial holdings identification, transfers to McK to fill gaps, withdrawal from the Catalog.
- Transfer of pre-1985 low-circ titles to MOSS.
- Transfer of Juvenile Historical to Special Collections.
- In McKeldin: creating space for serials by transferring selected JSTOR titles to MOSS, shifting on 7th floor. Creating space for monographs by "lilac-slipping" H's, L's, P's.
- Transfer of CLIS periodical titles to MOSS, with the criteria that the CLIS serials were closed in 1995 or earlier and the title is a low use item.
- Deduplication of CLIS monographs internally (unless use indicates need). Pulled duplicate books from A- T, with the exceptions of the call number areas, C and H.

Awaiting information/recommendation:
- Cataloging Collection - Potential instructional materials collection
