CLIS-UM Libraries Joint Task Force

Collections Subcommittee Update, November 2

Via Email

CLIS Faculty, Students and UM Libraries Staff,

A reminder of events scheduled to take place in November.

Faculty review of pre-1985 monographs that have not circulated in 20 years is scheduled to conclude November 15. After that date, unless a faculty member has justified retention on campus, these low-use titles will be transferred to MOSS.

Lists of duplicate serial holdings are being reviewed. Transfers will be made from CLIS Reference and CLIS Periodicals to fill gaps in McKeldin's holdings. Karen Patterson may indicate a need for an item to remain in CLIS through the end of the semester in which case that item will not be transferred until after the end of classes. Records of duplicate holdings will begin to be removed from the Catalog.

CLIS Media will be transferred to Nonprint.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
Thank you,
