Minutes of the Good Will Committee, Executive
February 11, 2004

Members Present: Judy Dillon, Jennifer Evans, Johnnie Love, and Evelyn Yocco

I. Financial Report
Evelyn passed around financial statement.

II. Update on Gifts
Need to send gift certificates to two staff who have had or will be having babies. Need to send card to one staff member who recently got married. Need to send flowers or remembrances to three staff who recently lost family members.

III. Membership
Discussed ways to get new members on committee, including making personal contacts, emailing all staff, and emailing supervisors. Discussed changing the membership period to the fiscal year. Discussed having some members with a one-year term and others with a two-year term, so there is not a large turnover at one time. Also discussed the need for someone to fill the VP/Gifts Coordinator position.
Outcome: Will discuss further with entire committee.

IV. Donations
Discussed not having an official donation drive this year due to the success of the craft and bake sale but still letting people know they can contribute if they would like to. For example, "Due to the fabulous success of the craft and bake sale this year, the Goodwill Committee will not be holding an official donation drive. However, if you would like to support the work of the committee, donations are always appreciated and accepted."
Outcome: Will discuss further with entire committee.

V. Miscellaneous
Need to prepare for LEC presentation: financial report, success of last year, plans for future. Will check with Lupe to see if Awards Committee wants support of GWC again this year. Need to set dates for next year's event and meetings.
