Goodwill Committee Meeting
Friday, October 18, 2002
Present: Evelyn, Lisa, George, Judy, Jim, Deepshika, Alla, Johnnie
Absent: Joan, Jennifer, Donna, Chamisa

Agenda: Changes to the agenda were discussed

Financials: George will be sending out flowers (dish garden) today, Friday. Today he
collected $98 in staff contributions and has incurred $174 in expenses. JL requested that
George e-mail the staff with how much he collects/spend and that we only accept cash, no checks can be accepted; staff needs to get this information more frequently. Lisa is willing to assist George with buying low cost money orders for the committee.

Craft/Bake Sale report:
-discussion centered on the type of setup of sale;
-do we want to charge vendors for tables,
-raffle items: afghan(?), others,
-will GWC prepare homemade crafts,
-date will be December 5th, 11 till 3 pm, Special Events Room (Lisa to check for room
availability),
-start PR flyer via email to staff; have one stating **coming soon** at our Cultural Luncheon,
More discussion is needed, Amrita (Chair) will give us an updated report at next meeting; what
still needs to be done.

Johnnie Love would like GWC to begin planning for 2003 events now.

Cultural Staff Luncheon:

-Review of overall plan; updated the supply list, review food setup/concerns, and logistics.
-Diversity Committee will help with luncheon. JL will contact Tom Connors regarding setup
duties.
-Participants icw Panel Discussion meets today (Friday ) at 2:30pm, Johnnie Love's office
-Somesh Sood will collect recipes.

Next Meeting: Committee agreed to skip this Fridays' meeting, next meeting - Nov 1st.
