GOODWILL COMMITTEE
Annual Report
2000 - 2001
September 2000
- 1st Fall meeting held Sept 8th.
- Committee members 9 including Chairperson. Added 3 additional members
at later dates.
- Financial report - balance $400.
- New business suggestion: Create a questionnaire for staff input on future
activities.
- Committee proposed several events for the fall:
Garage sales, Oct 11th (unsold items would be donated to charitable organization)
used clothing drive (collection dates will be late Sept - Oct). Gift Fair/Bake
sale, Dec 6th and Raffle, with tickets on sale from late Sept-Oct-Dec.
- Fall donation drive starts end of Sept.
October 2000
- Garage Sale/Clothing drive - Oct 11th
- Raffle-drawing Oct 11th (featuring:$50 Target Gift Card)
November 2000
- Committee Meeting, Nov 13th
December 2000
- Bake/Craft Sale, Decr 6th
- Raffle - drawing, Dec 6th (featuring: Hand-knitted Afghan)
February 2001
- Committee Meeting, Feb 9th
- Questionnaires mailed to all staff, Feb 26
March 2001
- Leadership Initiative Awards, GWC members host, purchase refreshments,
set/clean-up.
- Committee Meeting, Mar 15th; returned questionnairs reviewed, 20% participation.
April 2001
- Student Appreciation Day, April 4th; GWC members order pizza, purchase
sodas, set/clean-up.
- Raffle drawing, April 17th (featuring: Gourmet basket)
June 2001
- Committee Meeting, June 7th, discussion - All Staff Bar-B-Q/Potluck
July 2001
- Library All-Staff Bar-B-Q, July 31st
August 2001
- Raffle-drawing, Aug 23rd (featuring: Gourmet Basket)
- Financial report - balance of $480
September 2001
- Goodwill reflector generated, Sept 12th (see library-goodwill@umail.umd.edu)
- LEC meeting rescheduled for Sept 18th.Goodwill and Council to discuss terms and recruitment. Chair of GW to present annual report.

having a joint venture with Diversity Comittee. Perhaps an international
potluck luncheon to coincide with the arrival of Ms. Johnnie Love, the
new Personnel Counselor.
- Resend questionnaire/survey as online attachment, or direct to only
new employees hired after March 15th.
