Student Learning Outcomes Assessment
Pilot Project

Launched: Spring 2008

Contact the Pilot Project at: lib-learningoutcomes@umd.edu

Mission:

In order to bring the Libraries fully into the campus culture of assessment, the UM Libraries have launched several projects related to the assessment of student learning. The ultimate goal is for all instruction librarians to come to a common understanding about why the assessment of student learning is important, and how to routinely and systematically assess what students are learning. The Pilot Project will develop a plan to infuse learning outcomes assessment practices on a systematic and routine basis among all UM librarians doing instruction.
