Binary Voting

Binary Voting is used to elect one candidate for an office. Voters either vote or do not vote for a particular candidate. The candidate receiving the majority of votes is the winner. The common procedure for this voting system will be a ballot with instructions to choose either Candidate A or Candidate B. For example:

__Jay Jackson
X Lenny Lou
__ _____________ (Write-in)

If Lenny Lou receives the majority of votes, he is the winner.

If there is a tie among candidates, the NEVPC will repeat the balloting.
