• ALA Continuing Education Clearinghouse-- A searchable database of continuing education opportunities provided by ALA and its units. Additional information on ALA continuing education opportunities is available on the Continuing Education web page.
• ALA Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) home page. Includes information for LAMA Regional Institutes.
• ALA Library & Information Technology Association (LITA) – Clearinghouse for Professional Development-- Produced by the LITA Education Committee, this site provides links to ALA-accredited courses, as well as conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.
• American Management Association offers a wide variety of seminars in the Washington and Baltimore area, including Essential Skills for First Time Managers, How To Train Adults, and How to Handle Difficult Customers.

• Association of College and Research Libraries -- ACRL home page, with links to publications and association information. Choose "Events & Conferences" for information regarding upcoming conferences, programs and training opportunities.
• Association of Research Libraries/OLMS -- ARL Office of Leadership and Management Services home page - includes links to workshops, the Online Lyceum, and OLMS Publications. 
• CAPCON library network -- CAPCON, an OCLC Regional Affiliate Network, provides training and education programs to information and library professionals in the Washington, D.C. area. Training programs include Internet and Computer classes, Web Authoring, Graphics and OCLC services. 
• District of Columbia Library Association -- DCLA home page, including an upcoming events calendar. 
• Enoch Pratt Free Library (EPFL) – Training Programs - EPFL (Baltimore), offers a variety of free staff training and development programs. • Library of Congress Luminary Lectures Series -- Provides a calendar of upcoming lectures, as well as access to archives of prior presentations. 
• Maryland Library Association -- MLA home page, which includes information on membership and committee activities, as well as an online events calendar.
• OCLC Professional Development-- Web page with links to a variety of professional development and training opportunities, including online learning, workshops and conferences, and OCLC-sponsored training. Includes a link to Web Junction online computer training supported by OCLC, IMLS, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
• PALINET -- A cooperative membership organization formed in 1936 to promote library cooperation and resource sharing. PALINET offers a wide variety of seminars in the Washington and Baltimore area, including Essential Skills for First Time Managers, How To Train Adults, and How to Handle Difficult Customers. 
• SirsiDynix Institutes-- Biweekly online institutes, sponsored by SirsiDynix, on a variety of topics related to librarianship and information technology. Sessions are one-hour long and are free. Archived sessions are also available.
