Topic: Outside Groups’ Use of Rooms
Leader: Williams
Outcome: Williams reported that the Administrative Memos 34 and 35 regarding library and non-library use of meeting rooms and labs (with links to web-based information) have been updated and a memo on planning and obtaining approval for library-sponsored activities has been drafted. Together these three administrative memos clarify the appropriate types of activities for library sponsorship or co-sponsorship, fees or waivers of fees, and use of library facilities by non-library groups. LEC approved the new guidelines. Staff will be informed of these procedures via the All Staff Meeting in October, as well as through an e-mail and Library Matters. LEC wishes to thank the Task Group that worked on this project. They are Maggie Cunningham, Mary Dalto, Trudi Hahn, Irene Hruzd, and Lisa Wheeler.
