Meeting Minutes

Topic: Pop-ups
- Scanning Task Force. A Scanning Task Force will be created to explore the current scanning situation throughout the libraries and make recommendations to create efficiencies in library-wide practice including scanning for archival purposes, and in response to patron or ILL requests. Schreibman and Wray will clarify the charge.
- C-Team Retreat Venue - May 30-June 1, 2007. Lowry will inform LEC of the location.
- Caps and Gowns. Up to $2,500 was approved to purchase gowns for library faculty to attend campus graduation ceremonies. Libraries will purchase gowns for use by multiple attendees. December 20th is next graduation.
- Holiday Party – December 14, 1-4pm. Staff are encouraged to attend the party and necessary service point coverage should be shared.
- MSDE/DLDS Certificates will be handed out to library staff that participate in Maryland AskUsNow! at the Holiday Party.
- $684 of administrative travel support was approved for Nedelina Tchangalova to attend the ALA Emerging Leaders workshop in Seattle.
- Chemistry Library has requested 4 additional PCs for public use. Ruschoff and Wray will determine how to best fulfill the request. Wray will verify whether there are related furniture needs.
- A five-month extension (to 5/31/07) of additional 0.25 FTE Library Tech I hours for EPSL was approved - to cover staff shortages (Pat de Laubenfels).
- Usability testing proposal. LEC will review a proposal to do expanded usability testing after receiving a report from the consultant looking at ITD.
