Terp Services update. Williams reported that it appears that Terp Services will be able to find some matches for the library staffing needs on a temporary basis. Terp Services matched 4-5 candidates to fill generic librarian managerial positions. It was agreed that P. Brown will forward a specialized library position to Terp Services to determine whether the center will be able to find professionals who meet more specific needs.
Library workforce needs and library staff talent. The issue of matching existing staff talent to the greatest library position needs was introduced for discussion. Procedures for identifying the greatest staffing needs and determining a system for finding the best fit for those positions were explored. This issue will continue to be discussed and more information will be forthcoming as the topic develops.
Identical All Staff meetings will be held on July 15 and July 29. Vikor proposed that he present a summary of priorities for the year, as he did at the June LAG meeting. Another topic that will be included is the additional roles that will be added to Vikor’s portfolio and how the CMSC duties have been reassigned. Time will be set aside for questions.
