Animal Welfare

Scope: This guide provides direction in locating animal welfare information at the UM Libraries. It covers information on animals involved in research, testing and teaching, alternatives to animal use, training and education of animal caretakers or technicians, etc. analgesia, anesthesia and euthanasia, transportation and acquisition of, humane treatment, environmental factors, animal management, institutional animal care and use committees, philosophies, and animal behavior.

This unique source indexes over 3,300 international journals in the basic and biomedical sciences. This source unique because is it includes indexing for all of the references of each original paper indexed. This feature is based on the assumption thatthere is a subject relationship between a paper and the books and papers cited in its bibliography.
