The sources here will help answer these kinds of questions.
Table of ContentsUseful Reference Books
Subject Headings (catalog keywords)Use these when browsing in the catalog pick subject beginning with as the type of search. Some Relevant Databases
Journals to BrowseThese journals deal with aspects of architectural technology, and several years' worth or more can be found in the libraries. Go to the low black shelves in the center of the library for current issues (lift up the shelf to see back issues for approximately one year), and to the periodical stack shelves to the right of the circulation desk for older issues. Check the journals tab in Research Port to see if the library has full-text online access.
Websites and Digital Collections to Consider
Strategic ResearchGood research is complicated, especially in the digital and academic environments. No guide can begin to cover all the sources available, so Ask a Librarian when you need more information. Contact the subject area specialists for more information or to design a strategic and specific research plan: lotis@umd.edu, 301-405-9260 or pcossard@umd.edu, 301-405-6316.
